 Loyal's Kaoshiung factory was its first manufacturing facility, founded during the Middle East oil crisis in 1978. Starting with its first production run of Expandable Polystyrene (EPS) resin, sales were strong and those first two years of steady growth laid the foundation for Loyal's future growth and expansion.
Today, the Kaohsiung factory is one of the largest producers of EPS, Phenolic Resins, and Furan Resins and Hardeners in Taiwan. Among its products, the factory manufactures Loyal's own brandname of EPS resin, King Pearl(, known internationally for its quality and stability. Production of EPS resin accounts for 80% of the total manufacturing capacity, with 3000 metric tons produced each  month. Monthly production of Furan Resin is 160 metric tons, while the factory manufactures 70 metric tons of Phenolic Resins each month.
Quality is what separates Loyal's manufacturing facilities from its competitors. Behind this emphasis on quality control is Loyal's chairman, Mr. Y.C. Liao, who brings his strong background in technical processes to this factory. The company also often employs foreign consultants and experts to upgrade Loyal's technological base and to improve product quality. Under Mr. Liao's leadership, Loyal's EPS products have been widely accepted by worldwide EPS mouders and meet international quality standards, including those in Japan, the United States, and Australia. Over the past few years, the factory has intensified its globalization efforts, and resins produced here are now sold in Taiwan and exported to more than 20 countries on five continents.
In the future, Loyal's Kaoshiung factory will be faced with continually rising production costs in Taiwan and increasing worldwide competition. To maintain its growth rate and success, Loyal will continue to improve its efficiency and effectiveness and increase its sales channels. Loyal also hopes to take advantage of Taiwan's plans of becoming a Regional Operations Center, which will lower production and transportation costs and enhance the company's competitiveness and internationalizators.
